Jaduka launches Dukabar - Automated One-Click dialing [News]

Jaduka seems to be on a roll! Close to the heels of launching dukaDial, the company has launched another browser based VoIP product, dukaBar. Just like the Skype Click-to-Call feature, dukaBar allows you to call any number on a web page by just a click. Some details about dukaBar:
  • dukaBar allows you make the call without any headset or microphone. It first connects your number and then dials the other party's number.
  • dukaBar currently supports only North American numbers.
  • This is yet another offering from Jaduka that allows you to call a US number for FREE. Yes, you can call any North American number for free using dukaBar. The only restriction is that both the numbers have to be US numbers. But as explained earlier you can use this feature to call any US phone for free, even if you do not have a US phone number.
  • Unlike their other products, dukaBar requires you to install a browser
toolbar. Firefox 3 is currently not supported, but should be supported
    soon (the company claims so).
If the number you want to dial is not listed on the world wide web, you can use the inbuilt contact manager to enter the number you want to call. In essence, dukaBar seeks to eliminate the need to remember and dial numbers.

Jaduka seems to be getting ready for a major show. Currently they are concentrating on their products and are only servicing the North American geography, but my guess is that they will move out soon. The other possibility is licencing their products to a VoIP provider. Whatever the case, Jaduka is the company to watch out for!!!

Unlimited free calls to US [Free Calls]

Calling to the US just got cheaper (or free)!!!

Jaduka has just launched dukaDial, which allows you to make calls to any US number for free. Similar to other web based calling services such as Nonoh and Rebtel, you enter your number and the party you want to call and Jaduka completes the call. Note that both parties need to have a US number, i.e. it connects calls within the United States only. Do not fret if you are not in the USA, you can still use dukaDial to call within the US. Here's how:
  1. Sign up for a SIP account. You can get one for free at Voxalot.
  2. You can access the SIP service using one of the 6 methods detailed here.
  3. Get yourself a free US DID number from Ipkall.
  4. Forward the Ipkall number to your SIP account.
  5. If you do not have an account, signup for a new account at Jaduka
  6. Now go to dukaDial and enter your Ipkall number and the number you wish to call.
  7. Jaduka will first dial your number and once you pick up, it will complete the call by dialing the other number.
Earlier, the company acquired Earthcaller that allows free calls to any US number using the browser alone. So, if you do not want to go through the above hassle and are comfortable calling using a headset and microphone then you can use Earthcaller to make free calls to the US.

This is one more addition to the list of things students applying for admissions should consider to lower their expenses.
